HTTP

So HIMTI was holding an event by the name of HTTP (Himti Togetherness and Top Performance) and I decided “eh, why not, not like it’s gonna hurt me,” so there I was registering for HTTP and awaited to see what it was going to be like. HIMTI held HTTP every year for all School of Computer Science majors’ freshmen, this year’s title was SHINE (Strengthening Harmony & Inspiring New Experiences), the event was divided into two parts:

Introduction to C Language, which was quite helpful for freshmen that have never touched any programming languages. I learned some useful things that made things easier once college life actually began.

And the main event, which was full of interesting things like, a talk show, stage performances, and some more fun stuff. The food that was served seemed to lack in quantity… but at least it wasn’t bad, and I guess they did that because they also had food and beverage stands on the roof. The food stand choices were good, though it was a tad expensive for my taste. The overall event activities seemed dull at first mostly because nobody wanted to loosen up… I think the majority of us freshmen are introverts (I’m one to say, hahah), but I enjoyed the play they put up and most of the other stage performances were really good. Honestly, I only got bored at the start and the talk show (not a fan of those :/). But then everything was turned upside down… why? because they made a party happen xD I’m not one to dance in crowds over loud disco-like music… actually I don’t dance at all, so I mostly stood or sat at the sidelines, I even recorded a video and shared it to my friends, hahahah. It was quite exciting but at the same time I wasn’t really a fan of it… I liked the music, but I felt uneasy toward the partying crowd. After everything was finished, everyone was lined up to a designated exit to receive their t-shirt and goodie bags and then we all went home.

The experience was something, I guess maybe they were trying to make us more outgoing? I don’t know, I’m kind of reserved, but once you know me… I can be very…… weird (to say the least). Welp, that’s all I can say (or rather, type) this time, so see yah~
